Our Senses (ABN 99 173 893 348) is an Australian-based business and the authorised Australian distributor of Otostick® ear correctors, as well as the founder of Our Senses — The Smarter Tongue Cleaner. We are based in New South Wales, Australia.

All purchases made on www.oursenses.com.au are governed by these Terms & Conditions and the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Our Senses complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

2. Legal Capacity & Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Our Senses — whether through our website, by phone, or by email — you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.

If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the express consent of a parent, guardian, or legal representative, who will be responsible for all use of our services by the minor.


3. Marketing Communications

By clicking the “I agree to Terms and Conditions” button and/or providing your email address, you consent to receive promotional communications from us, including discount offers, new product announcements, and special promotions.

You may opt out at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly at admin@oursenses.com.au. Opting out will not affect the processing of your order or any transactional communications related to your purchase.

📧 Your privacy matters. We will never sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. All communications comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

4. Choosing Products & Placing Orders

By placing an order, you confirm your full and unreserved acceptance of the prices, product descriptions, and these Terms & Conditions.

The customer bears responsibility for selecting a product suited to their needs. Our Senses is not liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or injury arising from misuse or unsuitability of a product, to the extent permitted by law. If you require further information about any product before purchase, please contact us at admin@oursenses.com.au.

We will notify you promptly if any product becomes unavailable after your order is placed.


5. Pricing, Payment & Billing

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. The total cost — including product price and any applicable delivery fee — is shown in the order summary before payment is confirmed.

Our Senses reserves the right to amend pricing at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of purchase.

Please note: purchases from www.oursenses.com.au may appear as OTOSTICK AUSTRALIA on your bank or credit card statement.

Our Senses is not liable for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees applied by overseas authorities to international shipments.

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)

We offer flexible payment options through Afterpay, Klarna, and PayPal Pay in 4. All BNPL services allow you to split your purchase into four equal fortnightly interest-free instalments. You receive your order immediately.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Dispatch Timeframe

Please allow up to 2 business days for your order to be dispatched. Delivery times below commence from the date of dispatch.

Various shipping options are available, including standard, insured, and express delivery. Please select the option that best suits your needs at checkout.

Australian Delivery Options

🛡️ Please Note — What “Insured” Means:

Our Senses is not an insurance company. “Insured” means that if your parcel is confirmed lost in transit by the courier, we will issue a replacement and handle the insurance claim directly with the carrier on your behalf. To help expedite their investigation, please respond promptly to any courier enquiry confirming that your parcel has not been received.

Where delivery is confirmed by the carrier, responsibility for the goods passes to the customer, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

📋 Insured Delivery — Important Delivery Instructions Notice:

If you provide delivery instructions to leave your parcel unattended (e.g. “leave at door”, “leave in mailbox”, “leave at front”, or similar), this waives the insurance on your delivery in accordance with Australia Post’s rules. We copy your delivery notes to the carrier exactly as provided — we are unable to modify or override carrier policies. If you have questions about where your parcel was left, please contact the carrier directly for assistance.

🚚 Premium Express — DHL / Startrack / Toll:

While Premium Express is our fastest available option, delivery timeframes are estimates only. Where delays occur, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected. We will dispatch your order within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation. In some rural areas, Australia Post Express may still be the fastest option, as DHL and other carriers may transfer the parcel to a local post office for final delivery, which can add further delays. We will always select the fastest available carrier for your delivery location.

Address changes or re-routing after dispatch incur an additional fee, which will be invoiced to the customer separately.

Delivery Notes

To ensure secure delivery, please provide an address where someone will be available to receive your parcel during business hours. Peak periods such as public holidays may extend delivery timeframes by 3–5 additional business days.

Where delivery instructions are provided (e.g. “leave at door”), the customer acknowledges this may affect the security of the delivery. Nothing in this section excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Duties and taxes are the customer’s responsibility. Use the New Zealand Duty Estimator to calculate applicable charges before ordering.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email from Our Senses containing your consignment number. You can track your parcel via the relevant carrier’s website. For assistance, email admin@oursenses.com.au.

Please ensure your delivery address is correct at the time of ordering. We are unable to redirect or retrieve parcels once dispatched to an incorrect address.


7. Order Cancellation & Modification

Orders may be cancelled, changed, or modified free of charge provided the order status is still Pending and the request is made within 12 hours of placement.

Our Senses reserves the right to cancel an order in the following circumstances:

  • The delivery address is outside our coverage area
  • The address is untraceable or inaccessible due to natural disaster or other extraordinary circumstances
  • Multiple delivery attempts have been unsuccessful
  • The order exceeds the maximum dimensions or weight limits of our carriers
  • Suspected fraudulent activity

If a product is out of stock, we will contact you immediately to arrange an alternative delivery date or offer a full refund.


8. Missing Items

We sincerely apologise if your order is incomplete. If you believe an item is missing, please retain all original packaging including the shipping label and envelope, and send a photo of what you received to admin@oursenses.com.au.

We will investigate and respond within 24–48 business hours. Please note that our parcels are sealed and labelled with the unit count before dispatch to verify packing accuracy.


9. Returns & Refunds

Our Senses accepts returns in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Returns are accepted for:

  • Faulty or defective products
  • Items that do not match the description on our website
  • Incorrect items dispatched due to our error

Opened products cannot be returned for change of mind, but may be returned if they are faulty or not of acceptable quality.

You have up to 30 days from the date of receipt to initiate a return. To begin the process, email admin@oursenses.com.au with the subject line: Incident + [Your Order Number]. No refund will be issued without prior approval from Our Senses.

Returned items must be in their original condition, with all accessories and original packaging intact, and packaged securely for return postage. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.

Refunds & Fees

  • Orders that received free shipping: a flat $8.00 return processing fee applies
  • Refused, uncollected, or returned-to-sender parcels: $8.00 processing fee + $11.90 return-to-sender postage fee applies

Where applicable, refunds may be adjusted to account for shipping costs incurred by Our Senses. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)

As a consumer, you are entitled to the benefit of consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). These guarantees cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.

If a product has a major failure, you are entitled to choose a refund or replacement. If a product has a minor failure, we may repair or replace it at our discretion. This includes where products are not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or do not match their description.

Consumer guarantees do not apply where damage has been caused by misuse, accident, or use contrary to the product instructions.
